SpaceX Launchpad
SpaceX has many options for there new launchpad but Texas is the only one that has gotten the FAA to consider the possibility. What SpaceX wants to build is described by the company as “a commercial Cape Canaveral”.
The FAA seems to be ok with site construction for a verical launchpad and have it capable of sending up to twelve launches per year. ”The Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy (up to two per year), and a variety of smaller reusable suborbital launch vehicles” would be launched from this pad, says the FAA.
There would also be construction of a several buildings like a hanger, control center, offices, and warehouses. All this is in action but the site still is not caved in stone; so don’t be surprised if it gets moved or does not happen at all.
