Too Far (a poem)

lumpydoopy.blogspot.com

I’m too far from home,
and I’m too far from you.
These days feel longer;
the Sun hangs in the air.
I sleep till noon,
to make these long days shorter.
Until I see you again,
but then,
I have to leave again.
I am here for the money,
that has to sound greedy;
but why lie,
when I love you sweetly.
I fill my days with tv
and games,
and internet knowledge.
There is no one to see here,
no one to be here.
Just me and my phone,
only to hear you voice
and express my love.
I am too far from home,
since home is where the heart is;
and my heart was left with you.

  1. Home becomes very important after we have separation. We long for the simple things. I like the description of missing a person who is your home. A excellent poem.
