The mainstream media only feels the need to cover the two largest political parties, but there are other parties in the country.

Let’s take Gary Johnson for instance; he is running for the Libertarian Party. This party is starting to look like an actual competitor to both the Republican’s and the Democrat’s.

TheAdvocates.org have a nice quiz to see if you fall within the Libertarian title of politics; the quiz is nice and short with only 10 to 15 questions.

Libertarians support maximum liberty in both personal and economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.

Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties. – TheAdvocates.org

Check out the video that the party is trying to get on television; and below the video is a link to a .pdf, of how Johnson compares to Obama and Romney on the issues.

  1. hopefully the Ron Paul supporters will vote for what they believe in and not for the republicans just to beat Obama. If they continue to vote republican when they don’t agree with them, they have no hope of getting the party to change.

in the end, over the past 20 years (and maybe even further back) has there been any real difference between the two parties when in office? both like big government, both like government spending, both like debt and both like war.
