Ingress, Take Two

nianticops.com

I have been able to play Ingress for over a week now and have been doing the best I can to triangulate and capture Mind Units (MU). I am currently at level 4 which allows me to deploy level 4 resonators and use level 4 XMP Bursters. Each time you level up it takes more and more Advancement Points (AP) to reach the next level. I am in need of a total of 150,000 AP to reach level 5, and it only took 70,000 AP to reach level 4. This number will keep rising and I might hit a stand still in the game.

I keep hearing people say “what if they restart the game once beta is finished?”; to that I say “That is the day I quite playing”. I have that much invested into this game already, that would just be too much work to do a second time.

Tomorrow is the last day mapped out on the Niantic Project‘s website; I’m so stoked to see what is left to reveal.

To all of you waiting on an ingress invite code; I will hand them out as I get them, but they are few and far between.

  1. Yep, that’s quite a big leap from 4 to 5 and from there they just get bigger and bigger. I’m about to hit level 4 and it’s been a lot of work already. If they restart my AP count, I’ll definitely stop playing.

    • I am currently at level six and it is going to take 300,000 AP to reach level seven.

If they reset the ap I will also stop playing. It is a lot of work to level up.
