How To Be Saved

Categories: [Faith]
Tags: [bible]

After spending years in the New Age movement I was resuced from spiritual death. This only happend once I realized that there was nothing I could do to save myself. The fear of God, his wrath, and the comming judgment moved me. I threw out all my occult possesions and confessed to God that I wanted nothing but true salvation. Like a mighty rushing wind, in less than a day, my life changed.

No matter what our belief is before comming to Chirst we are not perfect and thus can not dwell in the presence of a completely perfect God.

Realize that we are all sinners. Even one small lie is too much and sets us on the path to an afterlife of purpetual death.

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: - Romans 3:10 (KJV)

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; - Romans 3:23 (KJV)

Our sin and imperfectness is a debt against us that needs to be paid in full. We are unable to achive this but praise God that he made the way to salvation.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Romans 6:23 (KJV)

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8 (KJV)

To recieve the gift of salvation we must ask God with full sincerity and willingness to change. Putting our faith in Jesus and nothing else.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. - Romans 10:9-13 (KJV)

If you are tired of this world, the imperfection, and the wickedness in your life; now is the time to pray and ask Jesus to save you. Confess that you are a sinner and want Jesus to be the ruler of your life from this point forward.
